Nicknamed the “Temple of Turtles.”

It is believed that many turtles swim in the pond in front of the temple, and the local residents have nicknamed it the “Temple of Turtles.” In 1806, Ino Tadataka, a well-known surveyor and cartographer, visited Kasaoka as part of his work surveying the entire country, and he stayed at the temple.
