Shiraishi-jima Island
Shiraishi-jima Orienteering Course
This a permanent course certified by the Japan Orienteering Association. It makes use of the entire picturesque Shiraishi-jima Island. (JOA Registered Course: No. 621) The course is about 5 km long and encompasses famous sites around the island and 7 hilltops and summits. Taking 3 hours to complete, the course allows participants to enjoy the large and unique rock formations on island and views of the tranquil islands in the Seto Inland Sea. There is also a “Short Course” for beginners which is 2.5 km and takes about 1 hour to complete.

| Access | From the Sumiyoshi Boarding Dock at Kasaoka Port, take the regular passenger vessel (Sanyo Kisen) and travel 22 minutes (high-speed ship) to Shiraishi Port. |
