Kojozan Park
The Views of the Cherry Blossoms on the Small High Hill are Spectacular.

Mt. Kojozan is a tiny mountain on a small high hill (60.8 m) located in the center of the urban area of the city. The view from it is unrivalled.
It is one of the few places in the prefecture famous for its cherry blossoms. Every year in spring, people flock to the area view the cherry blossoms on approximately 400 trees. In addition, fireworks launched from the top can be viewed during the fireworks display in summer.
The park contains many stone monuments with literary inscriptions and stone monuments honoring famous historical figures. A short distance down from the park is the Kawayangi Park which has many stone slabs with haiku inscriptions.
Best time to see the cherries: Late March to mid-April

The area looks down upon the reclaimed land around Kasaoka Bay, an industrial complex, and a narrow channel in Konoshima.
